5th LTTA: Turkiye

The aims of this second meeting with students were finding ways to respond to the educational challenges of an increasingly multicultural and multi religious Europe and how that can support the development of the societies we live in. In this project countries we are having different models of religious education catholic, orthodox, muslim, protestant and for many religions do not play a role in their lives. Some of the partner schools teach religion others don’t have religion lessons. Speaking and eaching about religion supports the development of social, civic and intercultural competences, educating towards a constructive and critical understanding of cultural and religious differences.

Presentation about religions and beliefs in partners countries and the most important religion buildings in the home town of the students. 

Presentation of life events in the form of a 

drama (wedding, baptism, easter, christmas, holiday, child's day, childs day).

Diploma Ceremony

Friday we had a diploma Ceremony where we also got to say goodbye to all our visitors. And we are just looking forward to meeting them again during our mobilities next year.

Farewell

During this meeting students and teachers shared with all participants their religion or what kind of role religion plays in their every day life. They taught the others some information about important traditions in their countries such as baptism, wedding, Easter, Christmas and Ramadan. Each schoolbrought some items to perform a play and show how these ceremonies are performed.

  

It's been a wonderful week in Turkiye, we visited many interesting places and learned a lot about different cultures. Thank you so much for organizing this trip!
